How to correct a fuel log

Edit an incorrect fuel entry, record the reason for the change, or delete a duplicate record.

Keep the history accurate and explain changes

Administrators can correct synced fuel records while keeping the change reason with the audit information.

A record can be updated when the time, equipment, enterprise, driver, litres, pump total, hours or odometer was entered incorrectly. Deletion should be reserved for duplicates or entries that should not exist.

  • Correct the original fuel record
  • Provide a short reason for every change
  • Delete duplicates only when necessary

Edit or delete a fuel record

  1. Open the main menu and select Records.
  2. Find the entry and open its actions menu.
  3. Select Edit, update the incorrect fields and select Save.
  4. Enter the Edit reason and select Save record. To remove a duplicate, choose Delete and provide a delete reason instead.

Fuel-record editing requires an account owner or administrator, an internet connection and a writable account.

How it works

  1. Find the synced record.
  2. Correct only the fields that are wrong.
  3. Save the change with a clear reason.

Correct readings carefully because hours, kilometres, pump totals and litres affect later reports and efficiency calculations.
